Scunthorpe manager Alan Knill could not hide his disappointment after seeing the ninth Iron player this season sent off in a 3-0 home defeat to MK Dons.

Striker Jordan Robertson was sent off after 72 minutes for use of an elbow in his challenge for a high ball with Dons centre-back Gary McKenzie. Dean Bowditch fired the Dons in front after 11 minutes with his 13th goal of the season, Daniel Powell made it 2-0 after 54 minutes and Shaun Williams completed the scoring five minutes from time. Knill said: "It makes us look like a dirty team, which is something we certainly aren't, but it is something we are going to have to look at next season because we cannot afford to keep losing players for three games." Robertson was red-carded after the intervertion of the fourth official and Knill added: "The fourth official is allowed to get involved if he sees something serious. "But he has to be sure - and I don't see how he can be because he was stood next to me 40 yards away from the incident. The referee was much closer and saw nothing - neither did the linesman."
