Scunthorpe striker Jon Parkin is hoping to return to contention for Friday's home game with Exeter.
Parkin, on loan from Cardiff, missed last week's 4-1 win at Chesterfield with a hamstring injury and manager Alan Knill must decide whether to recall him to the starting line-up. Paul Reid and David Mirfin are both expected to resume in central defence despite nursing knocks, but winger Mark Duffy will serve the final game of his three-match suspension following his recent dismissal against Bury. Striker Connor Jennings is poised for a return to full training following his recovery from a broken bone in his foot, but is not match fit. Midfield pair Michael Collins (Achilles) and Gary Thompson (abductor muscle) remain long-term absentees. The Iron, five points above the relegation zone, are unbeaten in their last eight matches.
