Scunthorpe will be without injured defender Paul Reid for their Capital One Cup tie at Derby.
The 30-year-old centre-half sustained a hand injury during the club's recent tour of Ireland and is not ready for match action. "Reidy's not going to be ready for the game," Iron manager Alan Knill told the club's official website. "When the cast gets taken off we'll see how it is, but he won't play on Tuesday night. "He's probably not going to be ready for Saturday [against Crawley] either, but we'll see how it is." Knill will also be without another central defender, Niall Canavan, who is away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland Under-21s, so new signing Tom Newey is expected to fill the void. Knill has completed the double signing of midfielder Mark Hughes, from Irish side Tolka Rovers, and striker Jordan Keegan, a free agent following the closure of Monaghan United in May. Both players hope to be included in Knill's squad.
