The agent who helped set up Zlatan Ibrahimovic's move from AC Milan to PSG has urged Napoli's Marek Hamsik to think about his future.
Mino Raiola was one of the representatives involved in Ibrahimovic's big-money switch from Milan to Paris that went through this week and now he has advised Slovakian star Hamsik - who he also has close ties to - to think about leaving Italy. "Marek is a great player," Raiola has been quoted as saying. "If you feel like a great player then you have to test yourself in a new environment to prove your worth. "Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis doesn't agree, but I don't agree with him. Presidents need to understand that they can't squeeze every last drop out of a player." Milan were keen on Hamsik 12 months ago, but no deal materialised and he agreed a new contract at Napoli until June 2016 in April, although there remains considerable interest in the dynamic midfielder. Raiola added on Radio CRC: "I haven't been active on Hamsik, but my argument for Hamsik is the same as for Lionel Messi - is it him that makes Barcelona great or do Barcelona make him great? It's like Michael Schumacher at Ferrari. "A great sportsman needs to find new motivation, whether you are Messi, Ibrahimovic or Hamsik. Otherwise you're a flat player."
