Atalanta eye Inzaghi swoop
Atalanta have confirmed that they are interested in veteran free agent Pippo Inzaghi who last played for the club 15 years ago.
The 38-year-old has departed Milan after 11 years at the San Siro and it was thought that he might hang up his boots after such an illustrious career.
But it appears as though the striker wants to continue playing and Atalanta president Antonio Percassi feels his age will not be a problem if they do bring him back to Stadio Atleti Azzurri.
"We are evaluating him," he said. "He may be 38, but he's still a great footballer. My director general Pierpaolo Marino knows more about it than me though."
Inzaghi left Milan at the end of his contract and was offered a coaching role within the club's youth sector but is said to be considering an offer to keep playing for at least one more year.
