Buffon denies De Rossi problems
Gianluigi Buffon has played down reports that Daniele De Rossi's exclusion from the Roma side has caused tension in the Italy squad.
Roma boss Zdenek Zeman dropped Pablo Osvaldo, Nicolas Burdisso and De Rossi for the capital club's 2-0 victory over Atalanta, with rumours of a rift between himself and De Rossi. The Azzurri are set to travel to Armenia on Friday for their third World Cup qualifier and the Juve keeper has quashed rumours that the Giallorossi star's situation at club level will have any bearing on the national side. "The atmosphere is normal," he said. "There is nothing complicated about it - it just so happened that on Sunday, the coach decided to not play Daniele. "You do not know the real reasons. But regardless, his value and contribution to our team go way above any problems he has."
