Juventus have refused to discuss the future of legendary striker Alessandro Del Piero, whose contract is set to expire in the summer.
The club's president, Andrea Agnelli, has previously stated that this will be the 37-year-old's last season with the club. However, due to Del Piero's recent performances for the Turin side, where he has scored against both Lazio and Inter, there is speculation he could be offered a new deal.
The 37-year-old has been at the Italian side since 1993, where he has made 700 appearances and scored 289 goals, both of which are club records.
Sporting director Beppe Marotta has not ruled out the possibility of retaining the striker but did not want to be drawn on the future, saying:
"I prefer talking about the present rather than his future. Alessandro is an important part of this team."
