Udinese forward Antonio Di Natale is considering retirement at the end of the season following the death of Piermario Morosini.

Morosini, who was on loan at Livorno from Udinese, died after suffering a cardiac arrest during the Serie B club's match against Pescara on Saturday. The death has rocked Italian football and now Di Natale, 34, is weighing up retirement options this summer. He said: "Last year I thought about retiring. I will play these last six games for Mario and then we'll see." Udinese's weekend fixture against Inter Milan has been postponed and Inter president Massimo Moratti has backed the decision. He told the club's official website: "I think it was obvious not to play the game. It was the only choice that could be taken because it was a serious episode, which sent the right message. "It was normal and understandable. For Udinese players, it was a case of losing a team-mate, a team player, who everybody knew well."
