Fernando Gago's agent is confident that the midfielder will complete a permanent move from Real Madrid to Roma this week.
The 26-year-old has spent the season on loan in the Eternal City after four and a half years at the Bernabeu and it appears that all parties are happy for him to stay in Italy.
The Argentina international schemer made 30 appearances in Serie A this term and scored one goal as he anchored the Roma midfield with his no-nonsense style of play.
Although coach Luis Enrique has now left the club, it appears that the South American has done enough to earn a permanent switch to the Olimpico.
"There won't be any particular problems," agent Marcello Lombilla told Tele Radio Stereo. "Everything should be sorted out next week.
"Director general Franco Baldini will speak to Real. Gago wants to stay at Roma and Real want to sell him."
