Guarin thankful for AVB's words
It has been revealed that Internazionale moved for Fredy Guarin in January on the advice of his former boss, Andre Villas-Boas.
AVB was in charge of the Porto side when Guarin plied his trade at the Estadio do Dragao before leaving for Chelsea at the start of the current season. However, he is no longer with the Blues after being sacked because of a run of poor results. Guarin joined Porto in 2008 but is currently on loan at the San Siro with an option to stay beyond this season if the Italians are prepared to pay 13m euros. Whether or not the Colombian stays with Inter is open to question but he was grateful for the Portuguese tactician for helping him secure his move to the club in the first place. "I haven't spoken to him yet, but if I am here at Inter then I owe him a lot," he said. "I know that Inter asked him about me and he responded with some very important words."
