Giuseppe Iachini has admitted his frustration after being replaced at Sampdoria by Ciro Ferrara but says he will not dwell in the past.
Iachini led Doria back into Serie A via the play-offs after taking the reins in November 2011, but he has now been shown the door by the Marassi outfit.
The club have issued a statement confirming that Ciro Ferrara will be their new coach and Iachini, while clearly unhappy with the situation, admits he will now look to the future.
"I'm disappointed, but I know that I did well in taking Sampdoria back to the Italian top flight," he said. "Meritocracy is not always the winner in this game, but I now need to look to the future and not the past.
"I haven't had any contact with any other clubs, also because almost all of the benches out there have a Coach on them already."
