Inter president Massimo Moratti has played down reports that he will approach Pep Guardiola to be his club's new coach in the summer.

Guardiola confirmed that he will step down as Barcelona coach at the end of the current campaign and revealed that he would like to take a break from the game. However that has not stopped speculation linking him with a move to both Inter and Chelsea in the close-season. But Moratti is happy with current coach Andrea Stramaccioni at the moment while he does not believe that 41-year-old Guardiola will be on the market for at least another season. "I think he'll take a sabbatical for a year," Moratti told reporters on Friday. "And for the future I'm thinking only of Stramaccioni." He added: "Stramaccioni deserves a very good mark [for what he has done so far]. "Against Cagliari and Fiorentina, although it didn't go well, he showed courage, and this is something that does not displease me in the least."
