Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta rates Andrea Pirlo as his best ever signing after watching the veteran light up Euro 2012.
The Old Lady signed the Italy international last summer after AC Milan decided against offering him a new contract. The move backfired as Pirlo went on to help his new club win the Serie A title without losing a single match.
The 33-year-old has been one of the stand-out players at the European Championship and has played a huge role in Italy's run to the final.
"I think Pirlo has been the best signing of my career," Marotta told Italian TV station RAI. "There are certain situations that go in your favour, just as when I brought (Antonio) Cassano to Sampdoria (2009). Pirlo has been superlative."
Pirlo has two years remaining on his Juventus deal, taking him up to the next World Cup in Brazil.
