Montella linked with Roma move
Catania boss Vincenzo Montella is being linked with a return to Roma following reports Jose Enrique will quit.
Reports in Italy suggest Enrique will stand down as Roma boss at the end of the season after failing to secure European football. Montella, who spent 10 years as a player with Roma, was placed in temporary charge of the Giallorossi last season following the resignation of Claudio Ranieri but the club decided not to offer him the role on a permanent basis. Reports suggest Enrique has already told Roma he intends to leave at the end of the current campaign and the Serie A side are thought to have lined up Montella as a replacement. However, the former Italian international has impressed at Catania this season and the Sicilian club are keen for Montella to see out his deal, which comes to an end in the summer of 2013.
