Reja fears Klose season could be over

Lazio boss Edy Reja has revealed that experienced striker Miroslav Klose could be out for the rest of the season with a thigh problem.

The German international picked up the problem in training last month and has been unable to shake it off, despite intensive treatment. The 33-year-old has previously said that he was confident of being fit to play for his country in this summer's European Championships but Reja is unsure whether the veteran will be ready and concedes that it's likely that Klose has played his last game of the season. "There is a chance that Klose's season is already over," Reja told Corriere dello Sport. "I still hope that he will be back for the past two games or so, but it is by no means a certainty that he'll return this campaign."
