Roncaglia makes Viola switch

Argentinian defender Facundo Roncaglia has signed a three-year contract at Fiorentina on a free transfer after departing Boca Juniors.

The 25-year-old former Espanyol star moved to the Tuscan outfit after deciding against staying with Boca Juniors and becomes the Serie A side's second signing this week following the arrival of Moroccan striker Mounir El Hamdaoui from Ajax.
A statement on the club's website read: "Fiorentina announces the signing of Facundo Roncaglia. Roncaglia, a naturalised Italian, played last season with Boca Juniors."
