Inter Milan midfielder Dejan Stankovic has rejected rumours he is leaving the San Siro, by declaring he wants to remain at the club.
The former Serbian international endured an injury-hit campaign for the Italian giants last season, where he only featured in 19 Serie A matches. And, accoring to recent reports in the media, the 33-year-old former Lazio player was set to leave the Nerazzurri after an eight-year stay to play in the MLS. However, Stankovic has laughed off suggestions that he is on his way to America, saying he is happy to stay in Italy with Inter. "I've read that I'm apparently thinking of a move to America, but there is no truth in it," the veteran told FSS. "My Inter contract lasts another two years and I'm definitely staying. "I've spoken to boss Andrea Stramaccioni and we are on the same wavelength, he is doing a great job, his ideas are crystal clear and as far as I have heard, even president Massimo Moratti has promised many new faces this summer, so I'm really not thinking about leaving Inter."
