Veteran defender Gianluca Zambrotta is ready to commit his future to AC Milan, his agent has revealed.
The World Cup winner is out of contract in the summer and has not yet been offered a new deal. Giuseppe Bonetto, Zambrotta's representative, insisted the former Italy international wants to remain at Milan and is ready to open talks once the season is over. "It is certainly hard to leave when you are at a club like Milan. Things are really good here," Bonetto told Milan News. "The future starts after June 30. The club have the right to allow a player's contract to run down and then evaluate things. Now, however, it is not the time to think about what will happen. The championship is at a critical stage right now, so we'll have to wait and see." The Rossoneri are second in Serie A, three points behind Juventus with just three games remaining.
