Roma boss Zdenek Zeman is confident that he has the players to make a splash in Serie A this season and does not need anyone else.
The Giallorossi began their pre-season training camp in Austria this week and left behind players like Gabriel Heinze, Simone Perrotta and David Pizarro. Heinze was expected to be Roma's first-choice left-back in the upcoming season but looks set to leave the club after being made aware that he is not in Zemen's plans. Federico Balzaretti arrived this week from Palermo, joining the likes of Mattia Destro, Leandro Castan and Michael Bradley, and the veteran tactician has confidence in the players at his disposal. "The new players we brought in can do a great deal for Roma, so I am very happy with the transfer strategy," he said. "I am already happy with the squad, even if we don't bring in anyone else. Roma are competitive, although if we are to reinforce, then we can do so in every area of the team."
