Sheffield United's latest signing Nick Blackman says there is plenty more to come after making a goalscoring debut against Burton.

Blackman, who signed a two-year deal after joining from Blackburn for an undisclosed fee on Friday, appeared as a second-half substitute in Saturday's first-round tie and scored his side's first equaliser in a 2-2 draw before Burton won 5-4 on penalties. "I wanted to get off the mark as quickly as possible, so I'm delighted to have done that within minutes of making my debut, but bitterly disappointed with the result," Blackman told the club's official website. "I felt strong and my match fitness will come with games having not played for a few weeks. "I think the fans will see a lot from me from what they saw against Burton. I can do more with the ball when I get the opportunity, but hopefully my name will continue to be on the scoresheet."
