Boss eyes five wins

Sheffield Wednesday, 18:47, March 10, 2010 ,

Alan Irvine believes Sheffield Wednesday need to win five of their remaining 11 games if they are to stay in the Championship.

Wednesday remain in the bottom three after slipping to a 1-0 defeat against West Brom on Tuesday night but Irvine remains upbeat and has told his players they can beat the drop if they pick up another 15 points.
"The players are low at the moment as they felt they worked hard enough to get something against Albion," Irvine revealed. "But at the end of the day if we win five more games we will be fine.
"I keep on saying it doesn't matter what everyone else is doing. Not everyone can get 53, 54 points. So I'm not really too concerned about what is happening in the table.
"It would be freakish if everybody does get that number, so I'm just focusing on us winning enough games."
