Boss' striker dilemma

Sheffield Wednesday, 15:46, August 14, 2009 ,

Akpo Sodje and Leon Clarke are out of the Owls' trip to Peterborough on Saturday with Francis Jeffers hoping for a recall.

Boss Brian Laws is not short of options up front and may stick with his midweek pairing of Jermaine Johnson and Marcus Tudgay if he decides not to start with Jeffers.
Johnson's goalscoring knack could be enough to keep him up front while Etienne Esajas' fine first appearance of the season on the wing against Rochdale, scoring a superb volley, could tempt Laws into handing him another start.
Defenders Frank Simek, Mark Beevers and Richard Hinds also made their first appearances in the Carling Cup and are in contention to keep their places.
