Irvine dealt defender blow

Sheffield Wednesday, 14:51, February 3, 2010 ,

Sheffield Wednesday defender Lewis Buxton faces a four-week spell on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring injury.

The defender was forced off during Wednesday's 2-1 victory over fellow strugglers Plymouth Argyle at the weekend and boss Alan Irvine has confirmed Buxton will be out of action for around four weeks.
Speaking to the club's official website, Irvine said: "Lewis has a hamstring strain and could be out of action for four weeks.
"We will continue to monitor his situation closely and hopefully he might be fit before then."
