Owls boss to alter side
Sheffield Wednesday, 16:18, August 28, 2009 ,
Brian Laws will ring the changes for the game at Plymouth Arygle after the Owls were dumped out of the Carling Cup by Port Vale.
Darren Purse, Lewis Buxton, Richard Wood and James O'Connor were all named as substitutes in midweek but are likely to come back in to the side following the defeat.
Francis Jeffers is suspended for the game following his red card and Luke Varney should replace him in attack after being cup tied in midweek.
Leon Clarke is still out with a hamstring injury while Akpo Sodje is still on the road to recovery after picking up a groin injury.
Laws has left Frankie Simek out of the squad for the game at Home Park after declaring that the American born player was available on loan.
"Frankie might go out on loan, he needs game time," Laws told the Sheffield Star.
"He is still an important part of our plans and we know what a quality player he is."
