Sheffield Wednesday are closing in on a Premier League striker after learning Leon Clarke is facing more time on the sidelines.
Owls boss Brian Laws has been forced to make his move after learning that Clarke has joined Akpo Sodje on the sidelines for the next couple of weeks and it is hoped the striker will sign before the end of the week.
Laws is refusing to name his target but has already held talks with the player and now just needs to fend off interest from a rival club to secure the loan deal.
