Shrews to celebrate promotion

Shrewsbury will hold an open-top bus parade on Sunday to celebrate their promotion to npower League One.

The bus will leave Greenhous Meadow at 12.30pm for a tour of the town centre before arriving at the Guildhall in Frankwell for a celebration with supporters at 1pm, followed by a civic reception at Shirehall. Manager Graham Turner said: "It is a great gesture from Shropshire Council and Shrewsbury Town Council to host this civic reception and parade for the club. "To be able to go around Shrewsbury and celebrate our wonderful achievement with all our supporters will be a fitting end to a successful season. "I hope many Shrewsbury Town supporters will come out to see the players, coaches and myself and make this another historic and enjoyable day in the club's history."
