Mark Allen is through to the final of the Haikou Wold Open following a dramatic comeback victory over Mark Selby.
The Northern Irishman has been in the headlines this week following his criticism of the sport's governing bodies for repeatedly 'dragging' the players to China and has also tweeted his disdain for this week's venue on Hainan Island. His outburst could earn him a suspension but he appeared unperturbed on Saturday, firing breaks of 80, 79, 71 and a closing 112 to seal a place in Sunday's final where he'll face either Stephen Lee or Robert Milkins. Ulsterman Allen was understandably keen to keep quiet after the win and used his post match interview to concentrate on his form, rather than the last week's events. "It's very, very good to get through as any win against Mark Selby is a good win," Allen told worldsnooker.com. "But to come from 5-2 behind is even better and the way I played in the last four frames would be worthy of winning any match."
