Adkins sure on Lambert

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins is confident top scorer Rickie Lambert will be fit to face his old club Blackpool next weekend.

Saints' 28-goal striker had to come off just four minutes into the second half of Saturday's 2-0 win over Doncaster with a pelvic injury but Adkins says the problem is not serious.
"It's very challenging for Rickie to put in the performances he does with three games in a week, because it can take its toll," said Adkins.
"At the end of the day he wasn't quite right so we brought him off.
"He has a little something in and around the pelvic region, but he will be fine for Saturday, don't panic about that!"
