Barnard desperate to play his part
Southampton striker Lee Barnard is desperate to play a part in the promotion run-in.
The 27-year-old has suffered an injury-hit season but is finally fit again and came on as a late substitute during the leaders' 3-0 defeat at Blackpool last weekend.
He told the club website: "It's been a long time so it's nice to be back involved and nice to be feeling fit and injury-free again.
"There's been a few times whan I've come back a bit too early and still not right, but this time I feel good.
"It's just nice to get back on the pitch and play for Saints, and hopefully I'll get a few more chances before the end of the season."
