Jan Poortvliet says his Southampton squad are looking good in training and he expects them to put on a decent display against QPR.
Saints travel to Loftus Road on Sunday looking to bounce back from the poor home defeat against Blackpool before the international break and boss Poortvliet insists they can put on a good show in the capital.
The boss believes the extended break due to the World Cup qualifiers this week has ensured his squad have had the chance to take stock following the 1-0 loss against the Seasiders and he expects an improvement this weekend.
"Everyone is training hard this week," he said. "They've had a few days off as well and we have talked about what has gone well and what we need to do better.
"They have responded well and want to show what they can do to improve."
