Defender snubs Saints offer

Crystal Palace defender Jose Fonte is set to reject Southampton's advances because the League One side cannot match his wage demands.
Reports claim that Saints have seen a £1.5million bid accepted by Palace for the defender, with the Eagles keen to offload some of their playing staff as they continue to struggle financially.
However, the St Mary's side can't match Fonte's wage demands, and the Portuguese defender is now set to reject their offer and remain at Selhurst Park.
