Pards leaves striker out
Southampton, 17:18, March 5, 2010 ,
Southampton boss Alan Pardew will resist the temptation to play David Connolly against Tranmere even though he is back fit.
Connolly has been out for the last two months with a groin injury but after he returned to full training there had been suggestions he could return against Rovers tomorrow.
However Saints have fired home 10 goals in the last two games against Huddersfield and Wycombe so Pardew will keep the former Leicester man out of the squad for now.
Elsewhere winger Lee Holmes will be missing for two weeks with a groin injury, while midfielder Lloyd James will again sit out with an ankle problem that has bothered him for the last month.
