Southampton failed with a bid to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Neil Danns on deadline day, according to reports.
Saints boss Alan Pardew has been strongly linked with a move for the 27-year-old in recent weeks and he finally made his move before the deadline only to see it fail.
Palace's administrators are said to have agreed a fee with Saints but reports claim it was the goalscoring midfielder who rejected the move in favour of staying with the Eagles.
