Saints target fresh bid

Southampton are expected to make another attempt to land Walsall defender Anthony Gerrard when the window open in January.
Saints along with Birmingham and Coventry have been tracking the talented 22-year-old but Jan Poortvliet was the only manager to make a firm offer before the transfer window closed.
However, Walsall rejected the bid as it was not enough to convince them to sell but reports are now claiming that Saints will make a fresh bid in January.
