Doherty confident of survival

Right-back Matt Doherty is confident Hibernian can secure their SPL future before they take on basement side Dunfermline next month.
Scottish Cup finalists Hibs lost 1-0 at home to Kilmarnock on Sunday, a result which left them six points off the bottom following Dunfermline's 4-4 draw at St Mirren. Both sides have four games remaining. The Pars travel to Easter Road on May 7 for a potential relegation decider and Doherty is keen for his side to avoid that scenario. "If we win our next two games we'll be safe by then," said Doherty. "That's the plan, for us to go to St Mirren and Aberdeen and hopefully get a couple of wins and by then we'll be safe and not in any trouble." Dunfermline entertain Aberdeen and travel to Inverness before they make the trip to Hibs.
