Griffiths set for Hibs return
Scottish Premier League,
Wolves striker Leigh Griffiths is set to rejoin Hibernian on loan for the first half of the upcoming SPL season.
Griffiths spent last season on loan at Easter Park and scored 11 goals in 36 appearances, including a late winner in the club's Scottish Cup semi-final against Aberdeen, and will join up with the squad at their pre-season training camp in the Netherlands. A statement from Hibs said: "This follows agreement being reached between Hibernian and Wolverhampton Wanderers that will allow Griffiths to return on loan until at least January." Griffiths joined Wolves from Dundee 18 months ago but has failed to make a single first-team appearances for the team. The 21-year-old had hoped to be a part of the Wolves side seeking promotion from the Championship but does not appear to be in new boss Stale Solbakken's plans at Molineux.
