Hibs to decide on duo

Hibs manager Pat Fenlon is to decide whether to sign trialists Mark Kerr and Alan Maybury in "the next few days".
The pair both came on in the second-half in Hibs' 2-2 pre-season friendly draw with Huddersfield on Saturday and will be hoping to have done enough to earn permanent contracts at Easter Road. That decision will be made by Fenlon early next week and the Hibs boss admits it needs to be made soon out of respect for the players. "We have to make a decision for their sake rather than ours. They need to know where they stand," he told the Daily Record in the aftermath of the Huddersfield match. "They did okay, gave us a bit of experience - their use of the ball was better and they kept the shape of the team well. We know what both are like as we've had them in for a while. We'll sit down over the next few days and see what we can do. "Isaiah Osbourne going to Blackpool frees up a little bit of the budget but we need to strengthen."
