Hearts defender Ryan McGowan insists he wants to stay at Tynecastle and repay the faith shown in him last term.
McGowan has been linked with a move to the Championship after impressing for Hearts on their way to lifting the Scottish Cup. Reports suggest he could be sold in order to raise funds. However, the Australian says he has no intention of leaving and wants to further his career at the Edinburgh club. "I'm happy and settled here and want to land another deal at Tynecastle," the 22-year-old told the Daily Record. "I'll have to see what the club wants to do, but I certainly want to give them the first option because they believed in me and I'm not inclined to walk away from them." McGowan joined Hearts in 2008 but only established himself in the first team last season.
