Rangers' Steven Naismith says he wants to come back a better playing after missing the last eight months with a knee injury.

The 25-year-old damaged his anterior cruciate ligament against Aberdeen in October which ruled him out for most of the season. However, he has now been given the all-clear by his surgeon, allowing the Scottish international to return to full training. Naismith is unsure if he'll play before the end of the season but says whatever happens, he's determined to return to the field a better player. "From a professional point of view, it's probably safer to wait until next season, but I've missed it for so long and I'm dying to get back on the park again," he said. "I want to come back as a better player than I was. That was the case after my first operation and it's no different this time."
