Rangers eyeing former Hearts man

Rangers scout John Brown has revealed the Ibrox club are looking to sign former Hearts midfielder Ian Black.

Black was released by the Edinburgh club last week after producing a match-winning display in the emphatic Scottish Cup final victory over rivals Hibernian.
It is thought Rangers have already opened talks with the midfielder in the hope their 12-month transfer embargo is lifted.
Black is reportedly keen on a move to the Old Firm giants, though several English clubs are also interested.
"Black's an excellent, solid, intelligent player," Brown told the Daily Record. "He is a player who would enhance our squad and is on the list."
