Saints land Cregg
Scottish Premier League,
Former Arsenal trainee Patrick Cregg has joined St Johnstone on a one-year contract.
The 26-year-old midfielder spent last season with Bury but rarely featured for the League One side. The Irishman is no stranger to Scottish football following spells with Falkirk, Hibernian, Morton and St Mirren.
"Patrick ticks a lot of the boxes I am looking for. He's a good age and feels he has something to prove," Saints manager Steve Lomas told the club's official website.
"He does the simple things well in the middle of the park and deserves his chance. He can be a real asset to us."
Cregg joins fellow new signings Jonny Tuffey, Gregory Tade, Nigel Hasselbaink, Tam Scobbie and Gary Miller at McDiarmid Park.
