Tom Soares says he would like to return to Hibernian on a permanent basis after being released by Stoke City.
The 25-year-old spent the second half of the 2011-12 season on loan at Easter Road and the midfielder believes he benefited from his time in Scotland after scoring twice in 10 appearances. Soares, who joined Stoke from Crystal Palace for £1.25 million in 2007, also says he would have to consider a return to Pat Fenlon's side if an offer was made after he failed to earn a new contract at the Britannia Stadium He told STV: "If [Hibs] were to get in contact with me then it would be something that I would definitely think about. "I enjoyed my time there and my main priority now is making sure that I am back playing regularly with the right club, enjoying my football again. "It all depends on what clubs come in for me and what I think would be beneficial for myself but I enjoyed my time in Scotland, it is a beautiful country."
