Hardie headache for Saints

St Johnstone, 14:51, November 20, 2009 ,

Midfielder Martin Hardie has been ruled out of St Johnstone's clash against Hearts after he picked up a knee injury.

Hardie suffered the knock in a behind-closed-doors game against Falkirk earlier in the week and, despite undergoing treatment in the past few days, the game against the Jambos comes too soon for him.
Hardie had scored in the clash against the Bairns but boss Derek McInnes admitted the injury had overshadowed the whole game.
He said: "It was a good work-out for a number of players on a very heavy pitch but Martin's injury has overshadowed what was a very worthwhile exercise.
"It could lead to Martin being out for a week or two."
