Buddies ace eyes win record

St Mirren, 11:20, December 19, 2008 ,

Defender Jack Ross has called for St Mirren to win three SPL games in succession for the first time ever at Kilmarnock on Saturday.

The Buddies have beaten Falkirk and Inverness Caley Thistle ahead of the trip to Rugby Park, as they jumped from bottom of the table up to eighth position, and Ross wants another three points in the bag in Ayrshire this weekend.
He told the Daily Record: "It's interesting that we have never managed three successive wins in the SPL but it's not easy to do. Probably not many teams outwith the Old Firm have managed it.
"If we can it will propel us up the league and we certainly go there in a better frame of mind and with confidence after two wins. But it will be a hard game at Kilmarnock.
"We weren't feeling sorry for ourselves in November as we had been playing all right but when we discovered we'd gone bottom after losing to Dundee United it was disappointing.
"Therefore it's been nice to move up the table. We knew it was coming as we'd been playing well and with the table being so tight we knew we would start climbing after two wins."
