Good run down to confidence - skipper

St Mirren, 16:29, December 26, 2008 ,

St Mirren captain John Potter believe his sides new found confidence is the key behind their recent run of good form.

The Love Street outfit have won their last three matches going into Saturdays match against rock-bottom Hamilton.
A fourth straight win would beat a top flight record that has stood since 1990 as well as open up a seven-point gap between them and their opponents.
Potter said: "Getting the first victory against Falkirk was important for us. We had been playing okay and not scoring, now we are scoring when we are on top in games.
"It makes a big difference to confidence. When you are playing with confidence, it's easier to win games."
Striker Jim Hamilton hopes to shake off a knock sustained in the 1-0 win at Kilmarnock last week to take his place in the starting line up. The match is the penultimate one to be played at St Mirren's Love Street ground.
The Buddies will move just a mile up the road to the brand new 8,000 capacity St Mirren Park in the new year.
