Paisley loan star desperate for survival
St Mirren, 15:32, December 15, 2008 ,
Celtic loanee Scott Cuthbert says he will try hard to keep St Mirren in the SPL after the Buddies recorded a 2-0 win over Inverness.
Goals from Andy Dorman and Garry Brady were enough for St Mirren to take all three points at Love Street, with Cuthbert putting in a strong performance at centre-back alongside skipper John Potter.
Cuthbert says the team spirit at the club is inspiring him to try his hardest to keep the minnows in the SPL and hopes the experience will make him a better player.
"Inverness are a good team so to score two goals and keep a clean sheet is great - the boys are delighted," Cuthbert told the Evening Times.
"Some people expect because you are a loan player then you won't care, but I want to keep the team up.
"It's a great bunch of lads and I want to play and be part of things as much as anyone in the dressing room.
"I've still got plenty to learn, but If I can keep on progressing then I'm happy. It was a frustrating time at Celtic playing in the reserves but it's great to be playing every game just now."
