Akins keen on Stevenage move

Tranmere have rejected a transfer request from midfielder Lucas Akins as he chases a move to fellow npower League One club Stevenage.

The 23-year-old, who has been at Prenton Park since 2010, is keen to push through a move to Borough, but Rovers boss Ronnie Moore is determined to keep Akins at the club. "We have no intentions of letting him go, we think he's progressing in the right manner and we want him here," Moore told Press Association Sport. "We have told them he's not going anywhere. Their valuation of him doesn't match ours. "I'd have to go out and find a replacement and there isn't anybody like-for-like out there."
