Shots bid for Read accepted

Stevenage have accepted a bid from Aldershot for their sought-after striker Craig Reid.

Reid, a £90,000 club record signing from Newport in January 2011, helped the club to npower League Two promotion in the 2011/12 season.
The 26-year-old, who has not gone on the club's tour of Ireland, scored seven goals last season and it is believed he is keen to link up with former manager Dean Holdsworth.
Meanwhile, the club have confirmed they have rejected three written bids from Doncaster for Jon Ashton.
Chairman Phil Wallace told the club's official website: "We have a policy on selling players to clubs within the same division in this transfer window. The players know that policy and understand it."
