Begovic coy on next club
Asmir Begovic expects to leave Stoke in the summer but has not turned down Manchester City in favour of a move to United.
The Bosnia international goalkeeper is wanted by both clubs, while Liverpool are also said to be interested should he leave the Britannia Stadium, but the player insists nothing has been decided.
A move away from Stoke looks certain though after the Potters signed Jack Butland from Birmingham on deadline day, but it remains to be seen where he will end up.
Reports had claimed that United had won the race for his signature but Begovic says that is not the case and also denied turning down a move to City.
"I read in the papers that I said no to City and yes to United, but the truth is, I haven't decided on anything," Begovic said. "I didn't say yes or no to anybody. I haven't signed anything - no contract, no pre-contract, but I believe Stoke didn't buy Butland to be a reserve so I think I'm going to be sold in the summer.
"To whom? I can't move to a smaller club and I also know that some top clubs are interested in me. They are also the only ones who can afford the fee."
