Keeper fears Wembley disappointment
Stoke City, 13:04, March 25, 2011
Goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is bracing himself for Wembley disappointment next month when Stoke face Bolton in their FA Cup semi-final.
The Bosnian has made the number one jersey his own at the Britannia Stadium this season but boss Tony Pulis has been using the experienced Thomas Sorensen during the cup run and Begovic knows that policy is unlikely to change now.
Pulis has already indicated publicly that will be the case, and while frustrated with the situation, the former Portsmouth stopper can understand his manager's position ahead of the clash on April 17.
Begovic told the Stoke Sentinel: "We all want to play on such a big stage and in a big game for the club. I would be disappointed but I would have no complaints.
"Thomas has done really well when he has come into the team in the FA Cup. The most important thing is the team gets the result and we get into the final."
Begovic hasn't had much luck in the FA Cup, having left Pompey for Stoke in a £3.25m move last season, four months before his old team lost to Chelsea in the final.
